History:
Lifelong resident of Washington County. Attended Marietta High School and have attended undergraduate and graduate programs at The Ohio State University, Marietta College, OhioUniversity, West Virginia University, Marshall University, and Salem University.


Main Responsibilities:
Currently serving the Belpre City School District as the Local District Coordinator for Special Education and Assistant High School Principal.

School Psychologist - Jason Haught
History:
Jason graduated from Marshall University in 2007 with a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education and an Educational Specialist degree in School Psychology. Currently he is enrolled in the doctoral program at Ohio University working towards an Educational Administration degree. Jason has been employed by Belpre City Schools since 2008. Prior to coming to Belpre, he was employed in Perry County, Ohio.
 
Main Responsibilities:
He participates as a member of the Intervention Assistance Team to identify and implement interventions to address academic and/or social/ emotional needs. Also he conducts psycho educational evaluations to assess the cognitive, academic, social, and adaptive behavior characteristics of individuals as well as the environmental factors that impact learning and adjustment. Responsibilities also include consulting with school personnel, parents, and community mental health providers to assist in meeting the mental health needs of students. Further, he assists in ensuring appropriate implementation of specialized services for students with special needs.

Speech Pathologist - Jamie Cooley
History 
Jamie graduated from Ohio University with a bachelor’s degree in hearing, speech and language sciences in 2009. She went on to complete her Master’s degree (also at Ohio University!) in speech language pathology in 2011. She had clinical experience in hospitals, rehabilitation centers and school settings, but the public schools were her ideal placement! She has completed research in the areas of autism, joint attention, and augmentative and alternative communication during both her undergraduate and graduate studies. Jamie started as the speech language pathologist at Belpre City schools in August of 2011.

Main Responsibilities: 
Primary responsibilities are to provide speech and language evaluation and treatment of students in the Belpre school system in grades K-12.

School Nurse - Robbin Alton
History:
Graduate of Belpre High School, Belpre, Ohio
Associate of Applied Science in Nursing degree from Parkersburg Community College, Parkersburg, WV
Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from West Virginia University, Morgantown, WV
School Nurse Certification from Wright State University, Dayton, Ohio

Nurse Robbin began her career as a Registered Nurse at St. Joseph’s Hospital working on the medical/surgical floor. She then worked in the Labor and Delivery/Postpartum/Nursery unit for ten years and in Pediatrics for two years. She has worked in a physician’s office and as a Plant Nurse at the O’Ames plant in Parkersburg. Prior to coming to Belpre City Schools she was the Health Unit Nurse for the Bureau of Public Debt in Parkersburg.

Main Responsibilities: 
Nurse Robbin began working for Belpre City Schools as the School Nurse on 9-21-98. As the only nurse for the district she oversees the health needs for all students.
