In an annual tradition, the Senior Class of 2022 took part in Government Day with the City of Belpre. Students spent the day learning more about how local government functions.

The Belpre Rotary Club hosted the students for a mid-day lunch where we were pleased to hear from Mr. Kevin Ritter, one of the Washington County Commissioners.

Mr. Ritter addresses senior class

Mr. Ritter spoke about the history of "American" english and how the words we use today are a distinct cultural artifact of our history.  We are grateful to him and Mayor Mike Lorentz, Saftey Service Director Connie Hoblitzell, Councilpersons Alan Milhone and Lyndsay Dennis, City Law Director Tom Webster, City Auditor Tina Nolan, Safety Service Director Connie Hoblitzell, Police Chief Terry Williams and Fire Chief Tony Cronin for all giving their time today in support of our students.
