Awesome day for Belpre XC at the TVC Championships at Waterford today! The HS girls were crowned TVC Champions in the Hocking Division with three girls earning All-TVC distinction: Gabby Campbell (5th), Shy Miller (6th), and Addy Stewart (7th). Freshman Drew Williams also earned All-TVC honors with his 5th place finish in the Hocking Division boys race. Eighth-graders Ellie Whitlatch and Deegan Haines both placed first in the Hocking Division earning them the title of TVC Champions, while Lewis Miller finished second to be All-TVC. Addy Stewart was the lone runner to earn a PR time today. We are so proud of all of our runners today as they represented Belpre very well. The Jr. High team will be back in action on Tuesday when they compete in their final meet of the season, the East/Southeast Middle School District Championship at Broughton’s Nature Park in Marietta. The JH girls will race first at 5:00. The HS team will head back to the University of Rio Grande on Saturday to compete in the Division IV District Championship. Mark your calendars now for the annual Belpre Marching Band Community Night! This will be a chance to see the band in action before they head off to OMEA State Marching Band Finals on November 1st. This Saturday, the band competes at Athens High School at 10:30 a.m. and at Warren High School at 5:15 p.m. Come join their cheering section!

Students in our new Career Technical Education Engineering Pathway participated in Forklift Operator practice as they work on earning the Forklift Operator credential. Thanks to Jared Voldness and WSCO for providing this opportunity for our students! It was a great day to be a Golden Eagle!

It will be held on October 1, 2025 in the BHS Gym. Get ready to say “cheese” and don’t forget – please don’t wear green. Senior tux and drape photos will also be done on this day. If you are an off campus student, come to the gym from 7-7:30 am to get your photo taken.

Today’s meet took us to the University of Rio Grande where we competed on a new course with some tough competition. The Belpre athletes ran great! Huge Homecoming win for our Golden Eagle Football team last night with a dominant 56-0 win over visiting Green High School. A stellar defensive effort led the way and set up several scoring opportunities. We got touchdowns from Malik Currie, Malakai Ensor, Alex Parker, Gunnar Willis, Warren Davis, Kade Hutchinson, and Maverick McCartney! Overall awesome game from the entire team and coaching staff! Also a great night for several class reunions and the alumni cheerleaders helped our current varsity cheer squad. Homecoming week has been a blast. BHS Students - remember to cast your vote for this year's Senior Royalty! We will be introducing the entire court at 6:30 at the Homecoming Game and crowning our winners at halftime!

We will make a longer thank-you post later, but we wanted to quickly thank all of the volunteers, city and school personnel, and fans who supported our team this past Saturday at our home meet. The athletes really enjoyed running in front of a home crowd. Medalists were Shy Miller (16), Deegan Haines (10), and Ellie Whitlatch (8).
