Really proud of our varsity girls going down to the wire with a 12-3 St Mary's team in the tournament final at St Mary's High School tonight. Girls fought to the very end and just missed a 3 to tie as the buzzer sounded. Girls were led in scoring by Haley Alloway with 17, Chey Parsons with 13, and Julia Way with 11. Haley, Chey, and Julia were also named to the all tournament team! Great job tonight ladies! Now let's finish the season strong! #BELPREPRIDE #GOEAGLES

The annual College Credit Plus family meeting will be held on January 25th, 2024 at 6:30 PM in the Lawton Gym. If your child is planning to take CCP classes next year, especially if they are new to the program, please join us. The presentation will be posted online after the meeting, as well as any paperwork, if you cannot attend.

Recap of the last couple days of Belpre Basketball. Last night the boys came away with a big 52-37 TVC win at Waterford! The fellas were led by Junior Bass with 18 and Derek Liston with 17. Chris Copen chipped in with 10 including a rim breaking dunk. On Saturday afternoon the girls played a really tough Athens team. The ladies came up a little short but played a nice game and stayed in it until the end. We were led by Gracie Bills with 18. Haley Alloway finished with 10 and Chey Parsons with 9. Great effort from both teams! The boys are back in action this week at Meigs on Tuesday. JV tips off at 6. The ladies take the court again Thursday at St Mary's High School against Moorefield WV. The Belpre Lions Club is hosting a Community Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, March 17 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Belpre Bingo Hall. Bring your family and enjoy a St. Patrick's Day meal!

We have so many talented artists at BHS! Nathen Smith, Kaedence Mulligan, and Blake Rodgers all had their artwork published in the Marietta Times 2024 Calendar. The theme is year was "Barns."
There are several other BHS artists whose work is on display in the Citizens Bank Lobby. Check it out the artwork by Nicole Runnion, Bella Morrison, Chloe Brumbaugh, Melanie Coria, Kaedence Mulligan, Rylee Wolfe and Nathen Smith the next time you stop in.

We are pleased to report that repairs are complete and the heating system at Belpre Elementary is up and running. We will see everyone tomorrow for school as normally scheduled.
