Your Belpre boys basketball team comes away with a victory in a thriller with a 52-50 win over TVC foe Waterford. Trailing by 4 with less than a minute to play, AJ Copen buried a 3 from the corner to cut the Wildcat lead to 1. After 2 Waterford free throws Copen nailed a second 3 from the corner to tie the game at 50. After a Waterford traveling violation Belpre got the ball back with 4 seconds remaining. After a timeout, Belpre missed the tying shot but Malik Currie found his way to the offensive glass and tipped in the game winner as time expired! Huge win for our fellas as they climb to 4-0 in conference play. AJ Copen led the way with 24 points including 6, 3 pointers! Great game fellas! We're all proud of you! The boys travel to Southern Monday for another conference matchup with JV tip-off scheduled for 3 pm with varsity to follow. The girls head to Warren on Monday for a 5pm start. Hope to see everyone at one of the games!

Congratulations to the Legal Eagles Mock Trial Team for their outstanding performance at the district meet today. This year's case revolved around the First Amendment and AI. Summer Colvin and Haley Hatcher received awards for "Best Attorney" and Jasmine Madison and Sara De la Pava received awards for "Best Witness."
The BHS winter formal has been rescheduled for February 1. Tickets are available in the high school office.

A couple of schedule adjustments for Monday, January 20th. The boys basketball game at Southern will have a 3pm JV start time with varsity to follow. The girls varsity game at Warren will have a 5pm tip-off.

Attention all parents of sophomores and juniors! Belpre High School is hosting an informational meeting on Junior and Senior year schedule options, including our Friday option before we begin scheduling classes with students. The meeting will be on January 27th at seven o'clock in the Belpre Middle School Gymnasium (Lawton Gym). We look forward to discussing the exciting options we have available at BHS!
