
Your Belpre boys picked up another conference win tonight with a 68-63 win at Southern! The boys used a balanced attack with all 5 starters scoring in double figures. Nasaih Spencer led the way with 18 followed by Junior Bass with 15, Blake Church 13 and Derek Liston and Chris Copen both chipping in with 11. The JV also got the win by the score of 47-39. JV was led by Malik Currie with 24! Great job tonight fellas! Not much time off as the boys return to action tomorrow at Warren vs John Marshall. Coach Leftwich's varsity girls keep rolling with a convincing TVC win, beating Southern last night 56-30! The Ladies were led by Haley Alloway with 15 points, followed by Shy Miller with 11 and Gracie Bills with 10. That brings the Lady Eagles to 6-1 on the season with Meigs coming up on 12/27 and Marietta on 12/28. Both of those games are at Marietta College at the River City Classic. Two big wins for the Belpre girls over Morgan at Joe Garrett court last night! The JV girls started us off with an exciting 49-47 win on a last second shot by Ava Brookover! The Varsity girls then took the court and continued their winning ways with another convincing win by the score of 62-41. Your Golden Eagle boys come away with a huge conference win in a thriller over Federal Hocking, 60-57! Led by Junior Bass with 19 points, followed by Derek Liston with 17 and Nasaih Spencer with 10. A whole host of players came through with really clutch plays to help seal the victory! JV also posted a great win tonight 56-43! Chase Maze with a monster 28 points led the way followed by Malik Currie with 15! Really proud of all of our young men with a great bounce back win against a really tough foe tonight! Way to work through adversity fellas! Also want to give a shoutout to Fed Hock's Tariq Cottrill for scoring his 1000th point tonight. That's quite an accomplishment. Recap of yesterday's huge evening for all 3 Belpre Lady Eagle teams! The Jr High girls got us started with a 34-26 home win over Frontier! The team was led by Addy Stewart with a huge 18 point night, followed by Kira Huffman with 9, Calli Meredith with 5, and Lexi Gruber with 2. The JV girls got the high school action started with a no doubt win, in an abbreviated 2 quarter game by the score of 33-4 at Eastern. We were led by Maddie Lauer with 9 and Ava Brookover with 6 followed by a host of other scorers. Our varsity girls then tipped off against Eastern's varsity and came away with a dominant 63-31 victory! Led by another huge Gracie Bills effort with 18 points and 14 boards, followed by Shy Miller with 15, and Haley Alloway with 12! Great effort and congratulations to all of the ladies and coaches! Last night, BCS President Brenda Church was recognized for her seven years of service to the district, including two terms as President. Under her leadership, our district weathered COVID-19 and saw significant expansion in elective courses at the high school and excellence in academic programs. She has been an incredible advocate for our students and town. Please join us in thanking Brenda for her service and we wish her all the best as her term expires this year.

The Pride of Belpre can't stop winning! Last week , Mr. VanPelt accepted a $20,000 grant from the PACF to purchase new musical equipment. On top of that, last night the performing arts boosters accepted a state level award from OMEA for support group of the year!
We couldn't be more proud of the entire performing arts program!



Weekend update from Belpre High School sports! Both the Jr High and Varsity wrestling teams competed at Waterford. On Saturday. Michael Bills picked up 3 wins on his way to a 7th place finish while Luke Davis also picked a victory by pin fall. Kayleigh Sheldon was unable to come away with a victory but showed a lot of grit and toughness and the wins are right around the corner. The Jr High featured 2 wins and a 4th place finish by Joey Lockhart and a win from Gavin Henthorne.
On Sunday the boys varsity team took to the floor at Shawnee State against South Webster at the Battle in the 740. The guys fell short to a really strong Jeeps team, 77-54. We were up at the half but couldn't overcome foul trouble and South Webster's hot shooting in the second half. Boys were led by Nasaih Spencer with 18, followed by Junior Bass with 12 and Blake Church with 11. #BELPREPRIDE #GOEAGLES

Doing one long post to recap the last 2 exciting nights of Belpre Basketball! Last night's triple header got us started with a tough 26-22 loss for our Jr High ladies to Southern. Girls played hard and fought to the end, led by Calli Meredith, with 12 big points. From there the JV girls used a balanced attack for an abbreviated 15-9, 2 quarter win over Trimble. Varsity girls then brought it home with a huge 62-35 win over previously unbeaten Trimble. The Lady Eagles were led by Julia Way with 22 and Gracie Bills with 13. Alivia Harrington and Haley Alloway both finished in double figures with 11 a piece. Tonight at Eastern the JV boys suffered a closer than the score loss, 45-37. We were led by Chase Maze with 13. Haiden Tabler and Malik Currie each threw in 9. The varsity boys then took the floor and won by a commanding score of 67-42. The boys were led by Derek Liston with 23, followed by Nasaih Spencer and Junior Bass, each finishing in double figure with 16 and 11 respectively. Overall it was a great two nights of basketball for all of our athletes. We're all really proud of each of you. Tomorrow let's hit the wrestling mats at Waterford at 10am! #GOEAGLES #BELPREPRIDE



Pizza Time!
The advanced cooking flex project finally busted out the pizza oven they put together themselves. Students were able to make and bake their own pizza, learning valuable cooking skills in the process!
