Mrs. Wright’s 9th and 10th grade English Language Arts students took on a project with the goal of improving Eagle Learning Period. The students pictured below worked hard to gather student and teacher data as well as create a persuasive argument. The students then presented their findings to BHS Principal, Mr. Pepper and Director of Teaching & Learning, Mrs. Trew. Both administrators appreciate the students‘ initiative, use of collaboration, and engagement. A job well done!

Monday May 3, 2021 is Ohio’s School Bus Driver Appreciation Day. The Office of Pupil Transportation would like to say THANK YOU to all Ohio school bus drivers for all that you do every day for Ohio’s students and families! Particularly now, it is so very important that families are able to count on bus drivers to get their children to and from school, safely and on time, each and every day. By ensuring this, drivers are doing more than continuing the tradition of professionalism and excellence that has distinguished this profession over the years. They are providing a much-needed element of consistency and security at a time when many families face challenges and uncertainty. This year, bus drivers have met new and added responsibilities associated with pandemic safety, not the least of which is the never-ending effort to ensure buses are safe and clean for students. We know that a great many drivers have been called upon to do so much more, and that they have stepped up in many ways without for a moment compromising the safety and well-being of our children. For every parent who smiles and waves to our drivers each morning and afternoon, there are unseen dozens more who appreciate and count on them every day. Please join us in extending our sincere gratitude and our very best wishes this and every day to Belpre's Transportation Department. They are transporting our most precious cargo!

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Belpre City School faculty and staff are scheduled to receive the COVID-19 vaccine next Thursday afternoon. In order to vaccinate our staff we have two important announcements: Thursday, March 4, 2021 will be a 2 hour early release day to allow the clinic to occur. Because of anticipated immune response, Friday, March 5, 2021 will be a Virtual Learning Day with no students in person. Teachers will communicate directly with families in the next week with expectations for that day. Thank you for your understanding and support as we take this exciting step in our fight against the virus. We are grateful to the Marietta/Belpre Health Department for all of their hard work to ensure that our faculty and staff are protected as we continue to serve our students.
