Welcome to Miss Chesser freshman science class. This week the students have been learning about potential and kinetic energy. They are using that knowledge to build a roller coaster out of paper. This is a great example of project based learning. Well done!

BELPRE PERFORMING ARTS CONCERT:
Congratulations to our performing arts students in grades 7th through 12th tonight. They entertained parents and community members in wonderful fall and Christmas music. Performing under the direction of our great director Mr. Bill VanPelt, the marching band, concert band, hand bells and our choir showed their great talent. Thanks to all for a great kick off to the Christmas Season.

Girls Basketball program
Over the month of November, Belpre High School Girls Basketball ran four youth clinics in coordination with the Belpre Youth League Girls Basketball. Bridges were built between the current and future Golden Eagles, leadership skills were developed with our Varsity student athletes as they assisted in the development of the little eagles. Each Sunday averaged close to twenty participants and featured plenty of growth on the court, a healthy dose of fun, and a focus on sharing wisdom as the Varsity student athletes shared their experiences with their first games of the season, what it takes to be a Golden Eagle and some deep dives into philosophies being taught at the top tier like Ubuntu. The Belpre Junior High Girls Basketball team even got in the action one Sunday, giving our Varsity squad a breather and brought their own enthusiasm and passion for the game. Together we soar.

Come out and support our performing arts programs tomorrow night at their winter concert. It will begin at 7:00pm in the BHS gym.
