
We can't wait for school to start next week! As a reminder, we will have staggered start by grade level on both Monday and Tuesday, with all students Grades 1 - 12 reporting on August 25, 2021. Kindergarten students will still have individual screening sessions next week as scheduled with the teacher.

INCOMING KINDERGARTEN CLASS:
On August 23, 24, and 25 our Kindergarten team will be hosting one hour kindergarten screening appointments at the Belpre Stone Administration Building. All incoming Kindergarten students and students who will be repeating Kindergarten will need to make an appointment for a one hour screening time. Please use the link below to sign up for a screening appointment. This link will close on Wednesday, August 18th. We ask that you only sign up for one appointment time to which you will bring your child and stay for the hour. This hour is a time for our Kindergarten staff to gather some information about your child and for a parent/guardian orientation. We look forward to meeting each one of you and welcoming your child into the Belpre City Schools family!

Seven Belpre High School students participated in STEM Camp at Washington State Community College. Students coded, built robots, and more! The camp was grant funded by Washington County Job and Family Services and organized by OVESC. Kouree Chesser, BHS Teacher worked with students and served as Assistant Director of the STEM Camp.


Belpre Elementary School will post class lists and staggered start information on their doors at the building at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, August 9th. Children will be assigned either an A or a B, which indicates either a Monday (A) or Tuesday (B) start date.
Belpre High School will also do a staggered start. 7th and 9th grade will attend Monday, Aug. 23rd, 8th and 10th grade will attend on Tuesday, Aug. 24th and all students will attend on Wednesday, Aug. 25th.

A reminder that we will be at the Central Office at 2014 Rockland Ave. from 4:00 - 8:00 for Chromebook returns. If you have been issued a district Chromebook please come tonight or Monday, June 7 to return it. We will be issuing new Chromebook in the Fall to students and will not be able to issue a new one if the old one has been returned.

Safetytown is about to begin its 37th year and we are looking forward to a good time together as we learn to be safe. Safetytown will begin on Tuesday, June 01, 2021, at Belpre Elementary School at 9:00 A.M. and will conclude with Graduation on Friday, June 11, 2021. Safetytown students should arrive no earlier than 8:50 A.M. and dismissal will be at 11:30 A.M.
There is a meeting for ALL high school volunteers on Friday, May 28th in the multipurpose room at Belpre Elementary School. The meeting begins at 9:00 A.M. and will last about 30 minutes.

It's a wrap! The 2020 - 2021 school year ended today and we want to extend our appreciation to our faculty, staff, students, parents and community members for all of their support and dedication this year. It truly would not have been possible without your patience, understanding, advocacy and sincere love of students and their learning.
Parents: if you have a school issued Chromebook or any virtual school materials to give back we will be open on June 1, 2 and 7 from 4:00 - 8:00 pm at the Central Office at 2014 Rockland Ave. We will be issuing all students grades 4-12 new Chromebooks in the Fall and will not issue another Chromebook out if we have not received one that has been previously checked out.

Attention Parents of students age 12-15: The Washington County Health Department will be on-campus to provide Pfizer COVID-19 vaccinations to any students age 12 and up who would like to receive one on May 24. These vaccinations are not required but are available to interested members of the students body. For more information, please read the parent letter available at our website at https://5il.co/rrmg.
