The Golden Eagle boys grind out a tough win over a physical Athens team 53-50. Belpre was led by Junior Bass with a game high 20 points followed by Derek Liston with 13. Chris Copen and Nasaih Spencer chipped in with 10 a piece. Way to fight through it and come out 2-0! JV won a thriller in overtime 52-50. Malik Currie coming up huge with 32 points! Tough loss to a really good Williamstown team tonight for our Lady Eagles. Girls fought hard and battled to the end, but it just wasn't our night. Golden Eagles, who drop to 2-1 on the season, were led by Shy Miller with 12 and Gracie Bills with 10. On to Trimble Thursday night on Joe Garrett Court. Monday 12/4: BHS Girls basketball at Williamstown. JV starts at 6 with varsity to follow. (Game was moved to Williamstown this year and they will come here next year)
Monday 12/4: BJHS Boys basketball at Fort Frye. 7th grade starts at 5:30 with 8th grade to follow.
Tuesday 12/5: BHS Boys Basketball at Athens High School. JV starts at 6 followed by Varsity.
Tuesday 12/5: BJHS Girls at Fort Frye at 5:30
Weds 12/6: BJHS boys basketball at Frontier. 7th grade at 5:30 followed by 8th grade. (Location switched to accommodate Winter Concert at Belpre Elementary)
Thurs 12/7: BJHS girls vs Southern at 5:30. Game will be played at Belpre High School to accommodate the Winter Concert at Belpre Elementary.
BHS JV girls will tip off vs. Trimble following the jr high game. JV will only be 2 quarters as Trimble does not have enough players for a full JV game. BHS Varsity girls will follow against Trimble's varsity girls.
Fri 12/8: BHS boys basketball plays at Eastern. JV tips off at 6 with varsity to follow.
Sat: 12/9: BHS and BJHS wrestling will be at Waterford. Matches start at 10 am.
Sun: 12/10- BHS boys basketball will play South Webster High School at Shawnee State University at 12:30 pm in the Battle of the 740 tournament.

A couple of changes for this weeks athletic schedule. There is no JV girls basketball game tomorrow night with Meigs, due to them not having a JV team. Varsity will tip off at 6:30 at Belpre High School. Also the Jr High girls game at the elementary school scheduled for Tuesday 11/28, is canceled due to Marietta St Mary's not having enough girls for a team. We are working on finding a replacement for later in the season.
11/27: Girls varsity at home vs Meigs 6:30pm
11/27: Boys varsity scrimmage at Frontier 6pm
11/30: Girls JV and varsity at home vs Fed Hock (JV starts at 6 with varsity to follow)

The kindergarten class had the chance to work with the high school in the S.T.E.A.M Engineering and Life Skills Lab. With the help of the high school students, the kindergartners decorated cookies, created a craft, and made their own ceramic ornaments to take home to their families. We can’t wait to see this partnership grow!
