What an amazing collaboration between Mrs. McBride's first grade class and Mrs. Edgar's high school Tastes and Techstyles elective course! The high school students worked hard making costumes to support the first graders' learning project about the birth of our nation.

Another busy night at Civitan Park as both the varsity baseball and softball teams were in action this evening! The ladies faced a really tough River Valley team that we've been unable to crack recently. We dropped a close 3-1 decision behind another solid outing from Makayla Carmichael who struck out 6. It was a tough night at the dish for the ladies other than an absolute bomb over the left field fence from Lucy Ruble, her 3rd of the season. Chins up ladies, we'll get it back tomorrow night. The boys had more success in their River Valley battle with an 11-1 mercy win! Derek Liston was dominant on the mound, only allowing 1 hit and 1 unearned run while striking out 6 in the complete game victory. At the plate we were led by a trio of batters with 2 RBI's (Chris Copen, Adrik McLaughlin, and Johnny Miller) with Copen scoring 3 runs and Blake Church scoring 2. Great game tonight gentlemen! #FLYEAGLESFLY #BELPREPRIDE

A huge couple of nights in the world of Belpre Sports! Starting with our Jr High Boys splitting a double header with Tyler Consolidated on the diamond yesterday. The boys dropped game one by a 7-3 deficit. Carson Woodford allowed no runs in 2 innings, striking out 5 while only giving up 1 hit. At the plate we got 1 rbi each, from Woodford, AJ Copen, and Mason Baxter. In game 2 Copen had a really strong outing going 5 innings, striking out 9 and scattering 2 hits and 3 runs, to pick up the win. Offensively the guys remained patient and disciplined by drawing 10 walks. Driving in runs for the Golden Eagles were Colten Gibbs, Joey Lockhart, Evan Lyons, Logan Norman, and Mason Baxter. Nice job fellas! The future is bright! #FLYEAGLESFLY #BELPREPRIDE

Copied from Belpre Cross Country and Track & Field: It was a rainy and cold night of track and field at Ritchie County, but that didn’t stop our athletes from working hard. The girls team was lead by Julia Way who finished second in the 200 and third in the 400. She also was the first leg in the third place 4x8 team along with Shy Miller, Lila Dugan, and Samarra Wolfe. Other scorers included Shy Miller (7th in the 800 & 8th in the 1600), Lila Dugan (6th in the 3200), Chloe Brumbaugh (7th in the 3200), and Anna Miller (8th in the 3200). Scorers for the boys team were Aedan Mullins (6th in the 400 & 800), Austin Jenkins (7th in the 400), Johnny Miller (7th 1600), Chase Maze (6th 110 hurdles & 7th 300 hurdles), and the 7th place 4x2 team of Luke Davis, Nick Chapman, Thomas Green, and Ashton Cale. We would also like to give a huge shoutout to our amazing athletic trainer, Kaitlin Shine, who made the trip with us! Not many trainers take the time to travel with the track team. Kaitlin has made a very positive impact on our athletic programs and our athletes are lucky to have her! Finally, we will be back in action on Thursday April 18th for our first home track meet in a decade!!! Please come out and cheer us on! I would also like to take a second to appreciate Kaitlin. This girl goes so far above what is required of her job every single day. She is an extremely important part of our program and far more than just our trainer. Thanks Kaitlin! #FLYEAGLESFLY #BELPREPRIDE #RAINRAINGOAWAY
