Awesome job ladies and gentlemen! Way to make Belpre proud! #FLYEAGLESFLY #BELPREPROUD

Tough night for the Lady Eagles tonight on the softball field. The ladies dropped a 12-2 decision to a really good River Valley team for our first loss of the season. The girls drop to a very respectable 4-1 record so far. Don't hang your heads ladies, we'll bounce back quickly. Even on a night where we were struggling to hit, Makayla Carmichael blasted yet another no doubt home run, giving her 4 on the season already! #FLYEAGLESFLY #BELPREPRIDE

Tonight we got to watch Blake Church and Derek Liston for the last time in a Belpre basketball uniform, playing in the BACF all star game. Both guys had really good games and were valuable contributors to the Ohio side. We'll really miss these two and are thankful for the memories in a black and orange uniform. Really proud of you both!
#FLYEAGLESFLY #BELPREPRIDE

Another dominant performance from our varsity girls on the diamond tonight with a 17-1 victory over Wirt County. Makayla Carmichael and AJ Varner combined to only allow 1 run over 5 innings! At the plate we were paced by Lucy Ruble going 2-3 with a bomb to left in the 11 run 2nd inning! Also having huge games were Makayla Carmichael 2-4(triple), Rylee Wolfe 3-4(double), and Khloe Cooper 2-3(triple). Awesome job tonight ladies! Let's keep it rolling tomorrow night at River Valley! #FLYEAGLESFLY #BELPREPRIDE

The Belpre High School Marching Band is heading home after an incredible trip to Disney World! The band took part in a Disney Imagination Campus Workshop with one of Disney's top music arrangers, Allen Grey. During the workshop, the band worked on sight reading and other musical skills while playing familiar Disney songs. Their final piece was recorded and set to a movie scene to show them how much the music means in a story. The color guard also had a workshop with Spencer Collins who has toured with several professional drum corps. The entire band visited 4 parks and Disney Springs and for many of these students, this was their first Disney experience! The band sends out a HUGE thank you to the parents and community members who helped make this lifetime experience a reality. We are so proud of this group and all the work they put in during their marching season and this trip was a well deserved recognition of their accomplishments.

Another awesome night at the ball fields. Both the varsity softball and baseball teams picked up huge conference wins against Eastern! The girls came away with a tight 6-5 win behind yet another dominant pitching performance from Makayla Carmichael. Makayla went all 7 innings scattering 4 hits and striking out 8. Lucy Ruble provided the knockout blow with a 3 run homer in the home half of the 4th to give the Lady Eagles the runs they would need to secure the win. On the baseball field the fellas won a thriller in extra innings by the score of 3-2! Speaking of dominant pitching performances, Chris Copen was dealing! Copen only allowed 4 hits and 2 runs over 9 innings while striking out 13! The boys scored on a fielders choice by Derek Liston to take the win in dramatic, walkoff fashion! Carson Moore led the boys at the plate with 3 hits in 4 at bats! Fantastic night at Civitan Park and extremely proud of the fight and determination both teams showed tonight! #FLYEAGLESFLY #BELPREPRIDE

Tonight's varsity baseball and softball games against Eastern have been moved to Belpre Civitan Park due to field conditions. First pitch is at 5 this evening! Get out and support our student athletes! #FLYEAGLESFLY #BELPREPRIDE

Great night on the diamonds at Civitan Park for both the softball and baseball teams! The boys rode the arm and bat of Adrik McLaughlin en route to a 6-1 victory over Nelsonville-York. Adrik started off the first inning with a 3 run blast to left, which proved to be all the fellas would need. McLaughlin was just as dominant on the mound allowing only 1 hit in the complete game shutout. Brody Holland joined McLaughlin with 2 hits for the gentlemen. Not to be outdone, the ladies were just as dominant across the parking lot. The ladies rode the arm and bat of Makayla Carmichael to a 10-0 victory! The girls used great plate discipline drawing 12 walks. Carmichael then delivered the walk off dagger with a grand slam in the bottom of the 5th to invoke the 10-0 mercy rule. Makayla also struck out 10 over 5 shutout innings, to continue her stellar season on the mound. Great night for both teams on a beautiful night at the ballpark! Awesome job ladies and gentlemen! #GOEAGLES #FLYEAGLESFLY

Yesterday was the official start of the spring sports season and all of our varsity teams were in action. We started with the freezing cold Fairweather Relays at Warren. Our top finishers were the boys Sprint Medley team (Drew Rickman, Ashton Cale, Luke Davis, and Aeden Mullins) and our 4x800 team (Johnny Miller, Austin Jenkins, Aeden Mullins, and Blake Rodgers)that both finished second. On the girls side our Sprint Medley team of Gracie Bills, Kasey Hahn, Julia Way, and Shy Miller took home a 3rd place finish. Then we were off to Civitan Park for Belpre softball and baseball. The softball girls got off to a hot start with a 9-5 victory over Fort Frye. Led by a dominating pitching performance from Makayla Carmichael, striking out 11 and shutting out the Lady Cadets over the final 5 innings. She helped her cause by going 4-5 at the plate with her first no doubt home run of the year. Rylee Wolfe also had a great day at the plate going 3-3 with a walk. Every girl in the lineup finished with at least 1 hit! The boys played a tough Fort Frye team in a double header. The boys lost the first game 8-0 but managed to force extra innings on the back end before falling 9-5. The boys were led in the batters box by Adrik McLaughlin who collected 3 hits on the day. Despite the cold weather, it was a great first day for all of our athletes. Be sure to get out and support our student athletes! They'll make you proud! #FLYEAGLESFLY #BELPREPRIDE
