Belpre Elementary is grateful to Grogg's Home Services for donating 15 Christmas dinners - ham and all! - for BES families to enjoy this season. As we work to teach our children that kindness counts, we're thankful for the great role models our community provides!

Oh what fun in Physical Education today! From Christmas lights to holiday music, the children had a ball (and threw a few, too!)!

The shenanigans continue! The Elf perched atop the cabinets in science class, and had a meeting with Santa to talk about everything she saw today at Belpre Elementary School.

More magic moments from our BES Santa's Workshop Day!

Our BES Elf on the Shelf landed in the 6th grade hallway - hiding in the display case!

Where's the Elf now? In the hallway cubby outside the office at Belpre Elementary!

Congratulations to Belpre senior Tucker Liston! Last Friday night en route to an 80-58 win vs Wellston, Tucker broke the single game scoring record with 43! The record, set in the 2006-2007 season, was previously held by Jordan Thornhill.
Come out and show your support at the home game tomorrow night vs Eastern (12/20/19) as we announce the new record!
Congrats again and GO EAGLES!

Singing songs of Christmas cheer! Miss Bonar's class and members of our 6th grade Lighthouse Team caroled throughout the town on Monday. What a wonderful way to welcome the holidays!

Today a group of high schoolers visited Rockland Ridge to bring the holiday spirit and play board games. The seniors loved playing the games and talking to our students. Thank you Mr. White for organizing such a great experience.

Today, the sophomores dove into career and college exploration! They took the ASVAB Career Aptitude test, then enjoyed a tour of the engineering/industrial technology programs, healthcare wing, and a College Credit Plus overview at Washington State Community College! Thank you very much to WSCC for hosting us and to the service members that helped to proctor the ASVAB.

Belpre High School and BJHS are in the Holiday Spirit! Next week the BHS Student Council is sponsoring a holiday spirit week to lead us into our break. We hope to see many of our High School and Junior High Students participating. The week ends with the annual Students Vs. Staff Volleyball game hosted by the Freshman Class. Admission is $2 per student or a canned good that will be donated to the Eagle Closet.

Kids on Campus hosted a family night this past Wednesday, December 14th, 2022. This event was incredibly successful. Our total number of students and family members was 87! We started the evening off with 42 pizzas and by end of the event, there wasn’t a single pizza left! We had the opportunity to give attendance awards to five students. Johnathan Rexroad won our top award for being the only student with perfect attendance. We also had drawing for the 14 students who attended at least 75% of their scheduled days. The four students who won this prize were Blaine Keller, Cage Thompson, Maddox Sims, and Logan Kimble. After attendance awards, we played holiday trivia with the families with Kahoot, led by Tori Morgan. The students loved showing their families how to play a game that they play in their classes! The Marshall Family took first place, the Lincolns came in 2nd, and the Barkers took 3rd. Each of these families were given board games as their prize for winning trivia to encourage family time outside of the event. Overall, we are thrilled to see our Kids on Campus program thriving, and thoroughly enjoyed spending time with all of the families. We are excited to watch our program continue to grow in both number and success next semester. The Kids on Campus students and staff are very grateful to Eddie Lightner, our program coordinator, for planning such a successful event and leading such a successful program.

It's a special day in second grade! The students snuggled up in their pajamas to enjoy a surprise field trip to the movies. Even the Elf on the Shelf got to go!
