Belpre Elementary fourth grade students were up to the challenge of packing their pumpkins for the annual Pumpkin Drop! This group of super scientists had 15 minutes to use recyclable materials to try to protect the pumpkin from breaking on impact.

Congratulations to BES third grade student Kayla Robinson for writing an award winning scary story! Kayla is the recipient of WMOA's Scary Story writing contest award, and spent an evening recording her work to air on the radio. We're so proud of Kayla's creativity!

Come out and support our BHS Boys Basketball team this season!

Mr. Ryan Leasure’s Life Skills Training class includes workbooks to complete as the class progresses. The workbooks contain activities to go along with the class content. In hopes of encouraging student achievement in life skills training, cash prizes were awarded to the top three students who produced the best, most complete workbooks! Pictured above is our first place winner, Katherine Leiter. Her workbook was outstanding! Cash prizes were also awarded to the second and third place winners yesterday as well. All three students were thrilled about their rewards and proud of themselves for the accomplishment!

We will be having a makeup OHSAA winter preseason meeting on 11/10/21 at 6:00pm in the BHS library. All parents and athletes who have not attended need to be there. This will be the last opportunity to attend for the winter season.

Congratulations to Belpre High School's November Students of the Month--Natalie Miller and Alex Gabbard!

The Post-School Readiness class enjoyed painting and setting up displays with the Holiday Lights Committee this morning and then spent the afternoon doing yard work for a wonderful elderly resident. The students took a lot pride in helping out today. Their next project is going to be raising money to provide appreciation baskets for nurses at local hospitals. If you’d like to donate to this project, please contact teacher Jen Wells at bc_jwells@belpre.k12.oh.us.

Make sure to come out and show your support for our BHS Girls Basketball teams this season!

Attention Belpre Families. The Pfizer vaccine is now approved for ages 5-11. There will be a shot clinic on Friday, November 12th at Belpre Elementary school for any families who wish to have their child receive the vaccine. This is an optional clinic and parents will need to be present to provide consent. If you are interested, please call or email Nurse Megan at 740-423-3010 or bc_mfreed@belpre.k12.oh.us by Tuesday, November 9th.

On November 3rd, our 7th grade young men traveled to the Belpre Masonic Lodge for a two-hour retreat dedicated to supporting and teaching some of the important things to know when entering middle school. A small contingent of Belpre High School teachers, administrators, counselors and social workers accompanied the students to facilitate the retreat and engage in dialogue with them. Important topics such as maintaining personal space, appropriate peer relations and communication, online social media conduct, and protecting public property were covered. Special presentations were provided by Sgt. Joe Kirby of the Belpre Police Department and Washington County Probation Officer Brockmeier. The retreat concluded with a powerful motivational speech by Coach Jimmie Bell on how legacies are built through actions and attitudes. "Shoot Your Shot!!"

We would like to invite our community to our Veterans Day Drive thru. This is our way of honoring our Veterans for all they have done and do for us every day for their many sacrifices for our freedom.

Don't forget! We will be hosting a Virtual Town Hall Meeting Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at 6:00 p.m. The meeting will be streamed on Facebook Live as well as our Youtube channel on this link
