End of the year information

Bittersweet night on the ball fields last night. The softball team came up short in our sectional bid against Dawson Bryant. It ends a really good season from our girls this year, after earning a home sectional game. They fought hard all year after losing 5 seniors from last year's team. Although we will really miss our lone senior, Allie Jaracauro, the future is bright. Everyone returns, plus some really talented jr high girls will be moving up! Great season ladies! We're extremely proud of all of you!
The boys had a little different outcome with a 20-3 Senior Night victory over Beallsville! The evening started off with us honoring or 5 seniors(Blake Church, Brody Holland, Derek Liston, Kasey Ward, and Mason Sampson)! It's been great watching you guys and you will be missed. The fellas got several outstanding performances at the plate tonight. Church, Liston, and Chris Copen all pounded 3 hits in 4 at bats. Ryan Owens, Chase Maze, and Sampson all contributed 2 hits, respectively.
On the mound the triumvirate of Liston, Ward, and Church combined to scatter 3 hits and 3 runs over 5 innings, with Liston picking up the win!
The boys return to action tonight with their final regular season contest at Warren. They will host West Union in sectional action next Tuesday, May 14.

What a crazy night for our track and field athletes last night! So proud of each and every one of our athletes! So many outstanding finishes and times! Outstanding job ladies and gentlemen!
Copied from Belpre Cross Country and Track & Field:
It was a bit of a strange evening at yesterday’s TVC Championships. Due to Wellston not having lights, the meet was called before the 4x4s were run and boys pole vault was finished. Because the Boys Hocking Division had three teams within a few points of each other, we elected to finish the 4x4 and pole vault at Federal Hocking. At 11 pm, our boys 4x4 of Chase Maze, Blake Rodgers, Austin Jenkins, and Aedan Mullins took second in a close fought race.
Ultimately, our boys finished third overall and the girls took fifth.
The following athletes are TVC champions:
Blake Rodgers (3200), Matthew Rasmussen (disc) Shy Miller (1600 & 800), and the girls & boys 4x8 teams of Gracie Bills, Julia Way, Samarra Wolfe, Shy Miller, Austin Jenkins, Johnny Miller, Blake Rodgers, & Aedan Mullins.
Other athletes who scored points for the team are:
2nd: Nathan Tippie (shot), Luke Davis (long jump), Chase Maze (110 & 300 hurdles), Blake Rodgers (1600), and Lila Dugan (3200).
3rd: Aedan Mullins (400 & 800), Ashton Cale (long jump), and the girls 4x2 of Gracie Bills, Samarra Wolfe, Kacy Hahn, and Kayleigh Sheldon.
4th: Chloe Brumbaugh (3200), Ashton Cale (high jump), the boys 4x1 of Ashton Cale, Alex Parker, Drew Rickman, & Luke Davis and the boys 4x2 of Ashton Cale, Chase Maze, Drew Rickman, & Luke Davis.
5th: Kayleigh Sheldon (300 hurdles), Brayden McCullough (disc), Drew Rickman (high jump), and the girls 4x1 of Sophia Dugan, Kayleigh Sheldon, Kacy Hahn, & Layla McDonald.
6th: Kayleigh Sheldon (100 hurdles), Johnny Miller (1600 & 3200), Julia Way (400), Austin Jenkins (400), Luke Davis (300 hurdles), Drew Rickman (200), Riley Brumbaugh (disc), Maycie Holsinger (shot), and Maxwell Parker (shot).
