Tonight was the last home meet of the season. Hosting five meets in two weeks was no easy task and we want to give a huge thank you to the coaches, athletes, family, teachers, staff, students, and community members who volunteered and came out to cheer us on! We truly could not have done it without you! It was wonderful to see our track athletes get so much support! Thank you.
This evenings quad meet was a hot one but that did not stop our athletes from having a successful night. The following finished in first place: Ashton Cale (high jump), Matthew Rasmussen (discus), Luke Davis (long jump), Shy Miller (1600 & 800), Blake Rodgers (1600 & 3200), Julia Way (400) Aedan Mullins (400), and the girls 4x8 team of Julia Way, Shy Miller, Lila Dugan, and Gracie Bills.
Overall, both teams placed second. Next Wednesday , we’ll travel to Wellston for the TVC Championships!

Our school's leaders partnered with Rockland Ridge residents this year. They played games, made crafts, and spent time bridging the generational gap through many conversations.

Mrs. Schofield visited fourth grade today posing as Ruth Wakefield, the inventor of chocolate chip cookies as part of our Eureka unit. Then all the kids enjoyed homemade chocolate chip cookies made by Mrs. Lorentz, a community member.

Kindergarteners took a trip to Ashley’s Recycling Center. A culminating trip that connects to their Knowledge unit on taking care of the earth.

Mrs. Rodgers's class completed a STEM challenge to create bubble wands that were fun shapes. Then, they tested them without to see what worked best.

Kindergarten celebrated the wedding of Q and U. The students dressed in their very best wedding clothes and wore the crowns they made for the ceremony. Students were served lunch and cake for the reception ❤️

Mrs. Kitts's class was rewarded with a dance party for earning so many positive office referrals. Keep up the great work! We are proud of you!

In honor of Principal Appreciation Day, we would like to recognize our principals. They inspire, encourage and lead our staff and students. Principals, thank you for all that you do each and every day of the year!

Belpre High School hosted the 2nd Annual Ohio Valley Robotics & Indoor Drones Competition on Monday, April 29. Six other area schools also participated, including Fort Frye, Caldwell, Waterford, Warren, Union Local, and River View. Our Robotics & Engineering class dominated the competition with Adrik McLaughlin and Mohammed Algharari winning first place in the Drones division in an alliance with Union Local. Katalina Morris and Anna Miller took 2nd place in both the Robotics and Drones divisions in alliances with Fort Frye and Union Local. The students in our Tastes & TechStyles class planned the menu and cooked for the concession stand, which was also a great success. We are proud of all the students' hard work, dedication, and the way they represented BCS! GO EAGLES!

Mrs. Rodgers's first grade class picked up trash around the school and playground as part of their Earth Day activities.

Mrs. Dunlap's sixth graders participated in an escape room to review math skills. Eight partner groups made it through 10 challenges during the allotted time.
